Attention passionate writers and advocates for social and environmental justice! We are thrilled to announce our upcoming May writing contest, “Voices of Change.” This is your opportunity to use the power of the written word to make a difference and inspire others to take action.
In this contest, we invite participants to craft a compelling and persuasive essay or opinion piece that advocates for a specific political, social or environmental cause in your country.
Whether you are passionate about climate change, human rights, equality, sustainability, or any other pressing issue, we want to hear your voice and witness your ability to ignite change through the written word.
Guidelines for submission
- Write a persuasive essay or opinion piece.
- Entries should advocate for a specific political, social or environmental cause.
- Your writing should be thought-provoking, well-reasoned, and inspire readers to take action.
- Word count: Minimum 500 words, maximum 1,500 words.
- All entries must be written in English.
- Please send your May writing contest entry as a PDF or Word document to submissions@dlitreview.com. Include your name, contact information, and a short bio in the body of the email.
- The submission deadline is May 27, 2023. Any entries received after this date will not be considered.
Prizes:
– 1st Place: N2,000 + Publication on our literary website + a certificate of achievement.
– 2nd Place: N1,000
– 3rd Place: N500
