Habitats Magazine
This is a new magazine, and they want “optimistic and uplifting short science-fiction stories on any subject” of between 1000 and 6000 words.

Sci Phi Journal
They’re accepting Campbellian hard science fiction, fictional nonfiction, and speculative philosophy. They also accept translations.

Golden Haiku Poetry Writing Competitions
They’re accepting haikus from poets around the world, with the theme of ‘Notes to Nature’.

BBC International Radio Playwriting Writing Competitions
This radio playwriting competition is for those outside the UK.

Cast of Wonders
They publish young adult fantasy, science fiction, and horror in podcast and online format. The theme for the current submissions is on Seasonal Holidays (e.g. Christmas, Halloween, Valentines, etc.)

The Center for African American Poetry and Poetics Book Prize
This University of Pittsburg prize is for a poetry manuscript, of 48-168 pages, awarded to a first or second book by a writer of African descent.

They’re accepting a book-length poetry manuscript originally written in Spanish and with an English translation.

The prize will be awarded for a first novel by an African author primarily residing in Africa.

The Welkin Writing Prize
This prize is open to all forms of narrative prose of up to 400 words; “be that flash fiction, short-short, vignette, haibun, hermit crab, prose poem or work that sits outside such labels.”

Alpine Fellowship Prizes
The prizes are in different categories of poetry, writing, and theatre. The theme for this year is ‘Flourishing’ and the work must address that theme.
